Carey, who is almost 5'10, was once a leading American fashion model. Famous designers like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren liked her. Her father is a distinguished scientist who was named Scientist of the Year in 1979 at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey traveled all over in honor of her father's efforts. In her college years when she was modeling for a small amount of time and was able to attract the attention from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. After moving to France and briefly was a resident in Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to go back to New York and continue her education. In the next few months, Vogue, Glamour and other magazines were featured on their cover. In addition to modeling, she attended New York University full-time to earn a master's degree in literature. Then she became interested in acting and began taking classes at the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. In 1986, she made her debut as an actor with a small character on the show "Club Paradise" alongside Robin Williams. In her spare time, she enjoys in wind surfing, skiing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water river rafting.
